Guemes Ferry in for repairs.

Service expected to resume Thursday morning, Aug. 2,2018

During a routine inspection of the Guemes Ferry, several of the bolts that connect the outdrive to the vessel hull were found to be missing. We immediately took the vessel out of service, and it is currently at Dakota Creek for repairs. The shipyard estimates the repairs will be complete late this evening.

A US Coast Guard inspector will be on site first thing in the morning to inspect the repairs. We anticipate that the Guemes will remain out of service through the 8:30 a.m. run on Thursday, Aug. 2. We’ll send an update first thing tomorrow morning once we know when the vessel will be back in service.

Until then, passenger-only service will continue on the standard weekday schedule.
